I specialise in a range of financing and debt restructuring transactions. This is a very dynamic area of law with constantly changing regulations, demanding evolving practices to meet new challenges.
With 12 years’ experience in banking, structured finance and insolvency related matters. Nikunj represents banks, financial institutions, foreign portfolio investors and foreign equity holders in complex domestic and cross-border debt transactions, debenture and bond issuances (listed and unlisted), combinations of debt and equity structures, mezzanine finance transactions, securitisation and assignment transactions and inter-creditor arrangements. He also advises banks, NBFCs, housing finance companies and other financial institutions in their regulatory and compliance requirements, recovery methods and processes. Nikunj also has strong experience in debt restructuring, transactions involving distressed debt situations and money recovery from defaulting borrowers, including enforcement of security.
