Aprajita Rana has 15 years of experience and specialises in TMT, Data Privacy & Cybersecurity, E-Commerce and Retail, Employment, Charities and General Corporate work. Aprajita has advised various emerging technology provider / BigTech clients on issues pertaining to data privacy & security, cyber incident response, moderation, encryption and interception. She has also advised retail, manufacturing, e–commerce and telecom companies on setting up & operationalizing their Indian operations, including online and logistics operations, satellite operations, telecom expansion and related regulatory issues. She advises various charities and multi-lateral institutions on their India operations and partner networks, where she has core experience in foreign contributions law, ESG and Sustainability, and DEI issues that are generally relevant to such entities.

Aprajita is a public policy strategist and has been involved in policy representations before the Government on defining the scope of intermediary liability and data interception in India, recommendations on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019, the non-personal data framework, and AI regulation across sectors. Aprajita is a Chevening India Fellow for Cybersecurity, an Affiliate of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society of the Harvard Law School, and tri – qualified to practice law in India, the UK, and New York. She holds an LL.M. degree from the Harvard Law School.
