The Promoters of Appasamy Group (Appasamy Family) and Appasamy Associates on Warburg Pincus’ recent acquisition of stake in the Appasamy Group

AZB & Partners acted for the Promoters of Appasamy Group (Appasamy Family) and Appasamy Associates on Warburg Pincus’ recent acquisition of stake in the Appasamy Group in the PE Fund’s largest investment in the healthcare sector in India. Appasamy is the largest manufacturer of ophthalmic equipment and intraocular lenses in India.

Our deal team was led by our Senior Partner Aarthi Sivanandh along with Partner Bhavana Alexander. Real estate aspects of the deal led by our Partner Malini Raju and Dispute resolution aspects by our Partner Dr. Dhirajkumar Totala. Corporate deal team involved our Senior Associate Bhargavi Ravi and Associates Adharsh Venkatesan, Keerthi Chowdary and Aishwarya Lakshmi VM.
