SC Holds that Court Doesn’t Sit in Appeal over Arbitral Tribunal’s Interpretation of Contract in Set Aside Proceedings

The SC in the case of National Highway Authority of India v. Hindustan Construction Company Limited[1] held that, if, after considering the material on record, the arbitral tribunal takes a particular view on the interpretation of the contract, the relevant Court under Section 34 of the Arbitration Act does not sit in appeal over the findings of the arbitrator.
