AZB & Partners represented Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., Air India Ltd. and Tata SIA Airlines Ltd. (Vistara) in securing CCI’s approval for the merger of Vistara into Air India, and acquisition of 25.1% stake by Singapore Airlines Ltd. in Air India. AZB conducted and presented to the CCI detailed antitrust analysis on this deal which involved complex facts and circumstances. This helped our client secured the antitrust regulator’s approval in Phase – 1. This is one of the biggest transaction in Indian aviation and is a critical milestone in the transformation journey of Air India and Tata Group’s long term aim to make it a world class airline.
