Display of Information on Secured Assets Possessed Under SARFAESI

The RBI has, by its Circular dated September 25, 2023, directed REs, which are ‘secured creditors’ under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (‘SARFAESI’) to display on the websites of the REs, information in respect of borrowers whose secured assets have been taken into possession by the REs under the SARFAESI, in the prescribed format and within six months from the date of this Circular and also mandated that such information be updated on a monthly basis.
