Direction Regarding Enhancing User-Friendliness of Mobile Apps and Web Portals of Access Providers

TRAI has issued direction F. No. D-27/(1)/2024-QoS (E-12845) on June 24, 2024, instructing access service providers to enhance their mobile apps and web portals for making them more user-friendly for customers by: (i) displaying options for registering unsolicited commercial communication complaints, preferences and consent at prominent locations; (ii) prompting customers to grant permissions to access their call-logs and other necessary details; and (iii) auto-populating essential details of customers at the time of registering complaints.
