Delhi HC Rules That Courts Can Issue Time Bound Directions to Collector of Stamps for Performing Adjudicatory Functions on Impounded Instruments as per Indian Stamp Act, 1899

Delhi HC in Splendor Landbase Limited v. Aparna Ashram Society,[1] has held that a Court can issue time bound directions to Collector of Stamps to perform adjudicatory functions on the impounded instruments to ensure expeditious disposal of applications for appointment of arbitrator under Section 11(13) of the Arbitration Act.
