AZB & Partners successfully represented Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Mukesh D Ambani, in his appeal to the Securities Appellate Tribunal against an order dated January 1, 2021 passed by the Adjudicating Officer of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”) against him alleging inter alia violations under the SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003 in connection with the sale of shares of Reliance Petroleum Limited in both Cash and Futures & Options Segments in November 2007.
