Amendment to Unified License Agreement to Address Issues of Calling Line Identification Spoofing

By way of Notification No. 20-271/2010 AS-I (Vol. – V) dated July 06, 2022, the Department of Telecommunications (‘DoT’) has amended the License Agreement for Unified License Agreement (‘UL Agreement‘), to obligate all International Long Distance Operators (‘ILDOs‘) to drop calls with no Calling Line Identification (‘CLI‘) or improper CLI, at their Gateways, including calls handed over by ILDOs to National Long Distance Operators or access service provider not bearing ‘Nature of Address Indicator’ field as ‘International Number’. This amendment is effective from August 1, 2022.
